Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi – A Stunning Architecture

Tourists visiting Dubai generally keep one day of their plan for Abu Dhabi trip. This one day trip is specially planned to visit Grand Mosque which is one of the best architecture of modern world. Being in Dubai for more than 3 years, I always planned to visit this holy place but it never got formalized. Finally the day arrived when we could make it out and witnessed this beautiful place.

This stunning piece of art was completed in December 2007 and was designed by Syrian architect Yousef Abdelky. The project was launched by the late president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His final resting place is located on the grounds adjacent to the complex.

This astonishing architecture has capacity to accommodate over 40,000 worshipers. It also carries 24 carat gold gilded chandeliers and the world’s largest hand knotted carpet.

Visiting Hours: Opened daily to visitors from 9 AM to 10PM (last entry is at 9.30 PM) except on Friday morning which is for worshipers only. On Friday, Tourists can visit the Mosque from 4.30 PM to 10 PM.

Ramadan Timings: Open daily From 9 AM to 1 PM except Friday.

Tips: Best time to be there is evening time around 4-5 PM. You can have both the views of day and night time.

Dress Code: Ensure your legs and arms are covered – no shorts or skirts above the ankle. Also it should not be tight fitting and garments should not be see-through. Female visitors need to cover their hair so it is advised to carry headscarf. Abaya and headscarf are also available for Female visitors at security check.

Here we bring some of the pics from our repository. This time we could manage to make our plan in day time and wish next time we can be there at night time to bring more pics for our readers.

How to find cheap flights to anywhere in the World

How to find cheap flights to anywhere in the World

“Your wings already exist. All you have to do is fly.”

Air travel is one of the fastest method and necessary for those human beings for whom hours matter a lot. Sometimes, it might be a concern of urgency but most of the time people do not prefer booking flight tickets due to its dynamics and inflated pricing, additional/hidden charges, cancellation or refund rules or some unavoidable conditions. Here is a list of few effective techniques to get cheap flights every traveler must know

  1. Never Forget To Find Airlines Sale –

A number of platforms you can access to get all about the airlines’ sale and if you are comfortable with the terms & conditions of the merchant, you will get benefits for sure. The online coupon code providers & deals service dealing websites are the best platforms to know about airlines sale.

Best way to get better offers is to visit websites offering Airlines ticket booking options such as the one from Nanak flights. The airlines have special rates designed for collaborators and one can get a real good deal at times.

Further, if you are short on time and need to book flights on the go you can install mobile applications of various companies offering discounted airfares and online booking features and get offers on your mobile screen within no time.

  1. Make Your Reservations Early & Avoid Festivals –

Undoubtedly, you can avoid burning a hole in your pocket if you book the tickets in advance because a research study says that the domestic flights are 27% cheaper when booked more than one month in advance as compared to last month.

In addition, booking too early may backfire because most airlines computer programs are not designed in a way to create deals for you. On the other hand, you should avoid booking on weekends and during the festive season to find low airfares.

  1. Always Do Comparative Analysis of Airfares –

Due to the availability of many travel companies and their cut-throat competition for attracting customers, you must arrange a couple of minutes before booking to perform a comparative analysis of these fares. According to a travel consultant, after midnight on Tuesdays or early Wednesday mornings might be a perfect time to check airfares because the airlines usually dump all the last weekend’s unused bookings for sale-priced tickets back into the computer system at midnight on Tuesdays.

  1. Book Round Trips for Great Savings –

It might be costlier to book one-way tickets instead of round trips and you can enjoy great savings or big discounts using this technique. As you start booking round trips, the airline’ system will filter the cheapest airfares combinations where you can choose accordingly.

  1. Enjoy Sign Up Bonus Offers –

You can discover a fantastic bonus offer through first-time registration for booking your air ticket with the travel companies. In this digital age where we live our lives online, it will be easy to get extra hot deals on flight tickets anytime.

  1. Subscribe Mailing List To Get Personalized Deals –

Sometimes, the airline companies directly offer a limited extent of discounts to their valuable customers for the continued patronage or when trying to tap a new market and attract new customers in their existing markets for this, it is suggested. not to forget to get email subscription so that you will come to know about personalized deals & important alerts instantly.

  1. Contact a Travel Agent for personalized Assistance –

If you do not understand the picture of online booking system or you’re following a hectic schedule, you must get some travel agent assistance because only an expert can understand your mind set and provide you excellent options to travel & booking related all queries.

Keep in mind the points mentioned below –

  • Always-read terms & conditions while booking.
  • Read the updated baggage policy.
  • Go through the flight ticket refund rules and their implications before booking the tickets.
  • Make use of the referral programs run by various companies by referring your friends to generate cashbacks or discounts.
  • Select the payment instrument that offers the most.

Advantages of Booking with Travel Agents

It has already proved the importance of travel agents while booking flight tickets or any related queries because they have the ability to answer all your questions at one point. You may not be able to inquire about everything related to it from the airlines directly but a travel agent can help you, guide you significantly and agents of Nanak Flights have already proved and satisfied thousands of customers.

However, it is not uncomplicated & trouble-free to find cheap flights tickets or discount on airfares online while it requires some efforts and knowledge as well to get a perfect offer for you. It may be time-consuming. According to a recent study in Social Psychological and Personality Science, “people who value their time more than pursuing money were happier” so if you are looking for the assistance from a travel agent, you’re going well.

Based in Ontario, NANAK FLIGHTS has a motivated team who works 24*7 to satisfy its customers with best prices guarantee. They provide best deals on flights tickets to anywhere in the world with the fast e-Ticket delivery.

How to Pick the Right Limo Company When Traveling to Chicago

How to Pick the Right Limo Company When Traveling to Chicago

If you live in Chicago or near the place, you know that when it comes to choosing a limo service, the task is not as easy as it may sound due to all the different service providers available on the market.

If you have already used some of these services, you probably have had your share of bad and good experiences and would know which one to choose again. However, many people are newbies when it comes to selecting a limo service that can help you travel to Chicago.

There are a few things that you need to keep in mind when pondering the answer to the question of how to pick the right limo company when traveling to Chicago. Knowing these will help you greatly in making sure that the service you choose is one of the best and up to par with your expectations.

Picking the Right Service

Below are a few pointers that you need to keep in mind when you are on the search. These will ensure that you can hire an excellent limo service that will leave you 100% satisfied. From a personal experience I can give as an example of good company suvchicagolimo.com.

Experience

The more the experience a company has in this business, the more reliable its service will be. A company that has been working for a long time will know the route better, have experienced drivers and will be able to get you to your destination on time.

The Fleet and Its Size

You need to make sure that the limo company does not limit itself to one car model. It should at least have a small variety and a few updated models of cars as well. The fleet and its size will be different for every company. Make sure that you go with one that has a bigger fleet, which reduces the chances of the car being delayed or not arriving at all.

Preview of the Business

If you have a long trip ahead of you or there is an occasion that you want to show up in style, it is necessary that you hire a limo that will be able to fulfill your requirements on those grounds. The best possible way to make sure of that is by previewing the car that will be at your service. Once you are satisfied, you can book the car and arrive in style. For this, you need to make sure the limo company is willing to accommodate the preview.

There Should Be No Hidden Fees

The cost of hiring a limo can get a bit high and if you add hidden costs to it, it goes even higher. What you need to do is to make sure that whichever service you choose, it does not involve any hidden costs and charges only what it says. Make sure you ask the service about these charges.

Reviews

Getting reviews from people who have already used limo services while traveling to Chicago is important. You will be able to gauge from these experiences which is the best company suited for your needs. It’s better to get more than one review. If you feel that you do not know enough people who can give reviews, look for some online.

Public Transit: Now More Accessible Than Ever

Public Transit: Now More Accessible Than Ever

Introduction

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” India is one of the most interesting places to visit in the world. A melting pot of different religions, cultures and communities, this peninsula is home to the lofty Himalayas, the beautiful Bay of Bengal, the dense forests of Cherrapunji and the far flung tip of Kanyakumari along with the deserts of Rajasthan and the backwaters of Kerala. Each Indian city has its own charm and if you are commuting, be sure to try everything from the ancient cycle rickshaw to the state-of-the-art, modern metro service. The public transit in India has become more organized, easily accessible and convenient.

Train

Travelling by train is a classic experience in India. The national rail network covers almost all of the nation with the exception of mountains in Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Ladakh and HP. Trains may be late, but they run across difficult and vastly changing terrains with ease. Overnight journeys are the right choice if you want to save yourself from travelling via the train. There are three types of passenger trains in India:

  • Inter City/Express/Mail
  • Super Fast
  • Local Passenger

The long distance inter-city trains called express or mail trains along with super-fast AC trains such as Rajdhani are day-time trains which connect major cities in India over a travelling time of 8 hours. Painfully slow local passenger trains stop at each station. There’s yet another class of trains for the adventurous tourist such as the Palace on Wheels and the toy train to Darjeeling. A famous toy train also runs from Shimla to Kalkaji.

The various classes of train travel include:

  • Second-class unreserved
  • Second-class sleeper
  • First class

The other 4 classes are :

  • A/C Chair Car
  • Second Class AC
  • Third Class AC
  • First Class AC

Rail fares are calculated for the exact distance traveled. Indrail passes are sold to foreigners and NRIs covering fair and reservation fees for every period from 12 hours to 90 days. It is costlier than buying tickets individually and is designed for nationwide travel. A seven day pass costs USD 80 in second class, USD 135 in first and USD 270 in AC. Luxury tourist trains are also there the flagship of which is the Palace on Wheels. These are maharaja carriages made into AC coaches with original design. An all inclusive 8 day tour starts at USD 2920. Discounts are offered during off seasons. Other heritage trains for tourists include Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, Maharaja Express and The Deccan Odyssey.

Plane

The massive distances in the country make flying a better option. Booking tickets is through the airline websites. Long carriers also have offices in metro cities. Children under twelve pay half fare while those under two pay 10 percent (one per adult).Major domestic airlines include IndiGo, Go Air, Air India Express, Jet Airways, Air India and SpiceJet.

Bus

Buses in India go almost everywhere. Government run state operated buses as well as private buses are available whether you are in Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) or Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala). Services vary in terms of price and standards and range from ordinary to deluxe, sleeper, volvo and low floor buses that are air conditioned. For example, Delhi’s DTC runs AC (red colored ) and non AC (green colored) buses or those in the capital city can also opt for Ho-Ho (Hop On Hop Off) buses which take tourists to as many as 20 monuments, sites and UNESCO world heritage locations here. Luggage travels in the hatch of private buses for which you may have to shell out an addition INR 10 to 20. Buying bus ticket is easy as there are many station counters and bus stands outside major cities. Private and express services generally require reservation beforehand.

Boat

Kerala, Kolkata and Andaman Islands are all connected by ferries and boats. Ferry boats is what Kerala locals call this service. Certain regions are only accessible by boat including the backwaters of Alappuzha and Kolam. Sunderbans in the delta region of southern Kolkata is another such area. Ferry services on the river Hooghly in West Bengal or hilly shikaras in Jammu and Kashmir are an interesting way to travel.

Cars

Vehicles with drivers and car rental firms are readily available. Local taxi firms and tourist offices can guide you to them. Cars cost around USD 27-35 per day covering a maximum of 200km. AC adds to the rate. Self drive rentals are there but traffic in the  major cities is pretty bad and roads are congested. Taxi cabs (black and yellow cabs or white coloured private ones) are the best option.

Motorbike

Riding a motorbike is a fun-filled way to travel in India if you are adventurous. Choose a 250 or 550CC Enfield Bullet for hire sold cheapest in Puducherry, TN.. Some smaller models are also available such as Bajaj in India’s capital city in Old Delhi and Karol Bagh.

Jeep

Share a jeep services are available for passengers coming from Bagdogra airport to Gangtok and other parts of Sikkim, Darjeeling or Siliguri in West Bengal and other NE locations. Sharing a jeep costs between INR 100 to 200 and the speed is 20 km per hour. Jeeps only ply if there are at least 10 people ready to share them.

Metro/ Suburban Rail

Metro systems and suburban railways are also prevalent in cities like Mumbai and Chennai apart from Delhi. The Mumbai suburban railway was the first rail system in India while metro lines were started in Kolkata first. Tram services, a colonial heritage are also operational in Kolkata. Regional rail networks transport hundreds of passengers each day and has the highest passenger density across the globe.  There are currently 8 metro systems in India. Mumbai monorail which opened in the capital city of Maharashtra is the first to be used for rapid transit in independent India.

Autos and Cycle Rickshaws

Cycle Rickshaws were the most ancient form of travel in India and date back to the pre-independence era. Tricycles driven by human drivers, these are the cheapest way to traverse short distances in India. Metered autorickshaws and unmetered tempos are also a popular choice.

Conclusion

The rail, roadways, and aviation transport systems in India are rapidly expanding. With the vast number of choices ranging from bikes to ferries, the traveler has plenty of amazing choices for discovering India.

If you love the sea and beaches then Bengal has another place for its tourist. One of the delta islands Bakkhali is a part of Sunderban islands and is located in the South 24 parganas of West Bengal. Bakkhali is a seaside resort stretching along 7 km. It is a twin beach surrounded by Casuarina trees. This beach is unfathomed with fewer population and tourist. This beach is most suitable for driving, long walks and cycling. More than the beach the drive from Kolkata to Bakkhali is more interesting and enjoyable as you will come across the broad Diamond Harbor road, the buses and cars being loaded in ferry and jetties, etc. Afar from the sea and beach the Fishing Harbor, Wind mills and the Annual Fair at Sagar Island magnetize tourists from far off places.

There are plentiful places of tourist significance and interest in Bengal some are explored and some un-investigated. So, If you are planning to take a tour of Bengal then setting on some travel sites like Goibibo, Yatra, Redbus and discounting the travel coupons will be a valuable affair for you.
