White Temple Thailand

White Temple Thailand

The picture looks straight out from a fairy tale book !! But don’t be mistaken, its for real.
WAT RONG KHUN better known among the foreign tourists as the WHITE TEMPLE, in Chiang Rai, Thailand is visually stunning and resembles a princess castle from a distance. One of the most impressive temples in Thailand, the Wat Rong Khun, is better known to the foreign tourists as the White Temple.
Unlike any other Buddhist Temple in the world , the masterpiece is a privately owned art exhibit which lies on the biggest temple complex. The unique temple with its white-washed surfaces and intricate mirror works is a contemporary, unconventional Buddhist Temple.
The outstanding temple was built by Chalermchal Kositpipat one of Thailand’s most renowned artist in the year 1997, for meditation and learning of Buddhist teachings. Painted in white, the temple signifies the purity and wisdom of Lord Buddha.
The passage to the temple is flanked by two ever-imposing colossal giants.
The bridge leading to the main hall is surrounded by a huge pond with white fishes, which compliment the serene surroundings, the beautiful fountains which enhance the beauty of the picturesque landscape is complimented by sculptures of meditating Buddha sitting on a lotus.

The main hall is an epitome of divinity with a huge contrast in color with several Buddha altars inside the golden flame. The colorful painted walls of the hall portray the teachings of Buddhism.
The artist of the exquisite White Temple has used murals from the modern culture depicting the Twin Tower hit with Spiderman and an Angry Bird as onlookers.
The Golden Toilet built on the left side of the compound also attracts audience for its un-mistaken and unusual beauty which tempts you to give your own interpretation of the structure.

Dubai Garden Glow – A Unique Theme Park

Dubai Garden Glow – A Unique Theme Park

Dubai Garden Glow, an Eco-friendly garden full of photo opportunities, this beautifully designed glittering park is one of the coolest option for your evening time out. Having summer on the rise, first we thought it will not be a great idea to visit this open park. Though, not having many options with us during Eid Holidays, we went ahead and booked our tickets. I feel great to say that we had one of the most enjoyable evening even in the rocking temperature of 37c with high humidity. First we thought we will be the only one walking around in this weather, but no we were wrong and there were many families and tourists around.

Located in Zabeel Park and easily accessible, it is a unique theme park for entertainment of all age groups. All around you see Glowing trees, Flowers, Animals Structure with eye-catching lighting and glitters.

Park Timings

Park is opened from November to June every year and the rest of the period is closed due to hot weather. Park timing is usually from 4 PM to 12 PM, however this timings may change during Ramadan. You need to cross verify the timings on Dubai Garden Glow official website before you plan your visit; http://www.dubaigardenglow.com/timing-rates.php

Though park opens in day time around 4 PM, the recommended timing to visit is when day is going to off and lights are on in front of you. The sky majestic evening blue color with the combination of artificial lights will be a perfect combination for picture perfect.

On an average, you will be spending around 1-2 hours in the park, though I felt I could easily stayed there for 3-4 hours witnessing this man-made beautifully crafted lightening work.

Ticket Pricing

Per official website, the ticket price is AED 60, however if you smart enough to look for the deals on various e-commerce sites, you may get good offers.

Various Attractions

The park is majorly divided into two parts; Dinosaur Park and Garden Glow.

Dinosaur Park shows different generation and species of Dinosaurs. They tried their best to look Dinosaur as real as possible. There were lift sized dinosaurs, they moved, they roared and for each structure, there is an information about the species.

The other attractions include Kids fun area, Mushroom Forest, Rainbow Tunnel, Talking Tree, Flowers Basket and many more.

To be noted that you can’t take your own food inside, though there are many restaurants and cafes inside. Here we bring some of the pictures from our album to share with you;
