Built and maintained around Singapore’s largest reservoir – part of a water catchment system that captures rain water – the park and nature reserve is situated at the very heart of Singapore and is a very popular destination for runners, water sports enthusiasts, and of course nature lovers. If you’ve ever wanted to enjoy the tranquility of walking with your head above the trees, you’ll get your chance at the Treetop Walks, a 250-metre aerial free standing suspension bridge spanning the two highest points within MacRitchie Reservoir.
Tree top walk: This free-standing suspension bridge connects the two highest points in MacRitichie and offers a bird’s eye view of the plants and animals that live in the forest canopy.
Water sports: You can rent kayaks at the Paddle Lodge for some fun in the water. There is a designated area for beginners, and another one for experienced paddlers.
Walking Trail: This 11km walking trail that circumnavigates the reservoir is an excellent way to take in the area’s natural attractions. There are no maps available, but map boards situated along the trails and directional signage at junctions will help you find your way.
Bird & nature watching: The tranquil nature and the natural habitat is a heaven for nature lovers. The sanctuary is one of the best places for bird watching.
